Victorian Gentleman’s very large golden brass and gilt King George 1V faux Guinea coin fob for a pocket watch chain.nnC ~ 1890’s (dated 1823 – these faux Guinea coins were used by the Victorians as gaming counters).nnSimilar to the fob I supplied to Pinewood Studios.nnPlease excuse the reflections/dark shadows in the pictures – was extremely difficult to photograph.nnMeasures; 5.9cm height (including the top ring), 2.8cm width and weighs a respectable 9.3 grams.nnWonderful fancy scroll work gilt mount with an elaborate engine turned bail holding a faux Sovereign coin which depicts King George 1V to the front and around him is stamped in slightly raised script; Georgius 1111D:G: Britanniar:RexF:D:nnThe back depicts (slightly rubbed) Saint George slaying the Dragon and is dated to base; 1823 with the word; Gilt to top.nnLarge robust secure brass top ring.nnSuperb clean and bright condition with just a bit of overall wear / patina / little surface scratches commensurate with age.nnWill arrive in a new velvet presentation pouch and be very securely and safely packed.nn***Will Ship Worldwide***nUKFree!Royal Mail 1st Class Signed For Delivery
